WYML General Contest Rules

DEMO / PROVISIONAL: This text is for testing the contest-management system and is not WYML's final legally reviewed contest rules.

1. General

These General Contest Rules apply to contests conducted by Local Community Broadcasting / WYML 99.9 FM unless contest-specific rules state otherwise. Contest-specific rules are incorporated into these rules and control where they expressly differ.

2. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase, payment, or donation is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or donation does not improve an entrant's chance of winning.

3. Eligibility

Entrants must satisfy the minimum age, geographic, and other eligibility requirements shown for the applicable contest. Eligibility may be verified before a prize is awarded. WYML may disqualify incomplete, fraudulent, automated, duplicate, or otherwise ineligible entries.

4. Entry Period and Method

Entries must be received through the method stated on the contest page between the published opening and closing date and time. Unless otherwise stated, all times are Central Time. Entries received outside the published entry period are not eligible.

5. Entry Limits

Unless contest-specific rules state otherwise, limit one entry per person per contest. Attempts to circumvent an entry limit may result in disqualification.

6. Winner Selection

Winners are selected at random from eligible entries unless contest-specific rules describe another lawful selection method. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. WYML may select alternates to replace a winner who is ineligible, cannot be contacted, declines the prize, fails verification, or does not claim the prize within the required period.

7. Winner Notification and Identification

Selected winners will be contacted using the information provided with the entry. By entering and accepting these rules, an entrant selected as a winner consents to WYML identifying the winner by name in connection with the contest, including on WYML's broadcast signal, internet stream, website, app, and station-operated social media, subject to applicable law. WYML will not publish a winner's home address, date of birth, private telephone number, or private email address solely for winner publicity.

8. Prize Availability; Cancellation or Rescheduling

Prizes are subject to availability and to restrictions imposed by the prize provider, venue, event organizer, ticket issuer, or other third party. WYML is not responsible for an event being canceled, postponed, rescheduled, relocated, shortened, or otherwise changed, or for a prize becoming unavailable for reasons outside WYML's reasonable control. Unless contest-specific rules provide otherwise, WYML does not guarantee replacement, substitution, reimbursement, transportation, lodging, parking, meals, or other incidental expenses when such circumstances occur.

9. Prize Restrictions

Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash except where WYML expressly permits it. Applicable taxes, fees, transportation, parking, lodging, meals, and incidental expenses are the winner's responsibility unless the contest-specific rules state otherwise.

10. Verification and Claiming a Prize

WYML may require reasonable proof of identity, age, residency, and other eligibility conditions before releasing a prize. Information submitted with an entry should be accurate and capable of being verified. A winner may be required to present government-issued identification. If a contest permits a winner who is under 18, a parent or legal guardian may also be required to provide identification, verify eligibility, sign required documents, and accompany or participate in the prize claim process. A selected entrant who fails to satisfy the published eligibility requirements may be disqualified and replaced by an alternate.

11. Technical Problems and Contest Integrity

WYML may reject entries affected by fraud, tampering, abuse, automated entry methods, or material technical failure. If circumstances materially impair the integrity or administration of a contest, WYML may suspend, modify, postpone, or cancel the contest as permitted by applicable law and applicable FCC requirements, with required material changes disclosed appropriately.

12. Personal Information

Information submitted through a contest entry is collected for contest administration, winner contact, eligibility verification, prize fulfillment, recordkeeping, and related legal or regulatory purposes. WYML does not use contest entry information to send unsolicited marketing email or promotional text messages.

13. Contest Information After Closing

Where WYML uses its website to disclose material terms of a licensee-conducted contest, the contest system is designed to keep those terms publicly available for at least 30 days after the contest concludes.

14. Contest-Specific Terms

The contest page may state additional or different requirements, including minimum age, residence, entry limit, prize description, approximate retail value, number of winners, drawing date, response deadline, event restrictions, and prize-provider requirements.
